Penelope is a jewel set in another jewel. Imagine staying in a luxury, stone-built former farmhouse that is within walking distance of one of the prettiest and most representative of Tuscan towns: Montepulciano.
The authentic beauty of the former farmhouse is evident in the large windows which characterize the living room, the TV room and the drawing room. They all face the most panoramic side of the house and allow for lovely views of hills and vineyards, presenting a magical landscape easily imaginable a 100 years or so ago.
Each room in the house is furnished luxuriously: the kitchen, in traditional style, is comfortable, spacious and very functional, the TV room has state-of-the-art equipment, including a Bang-Olufsen HiFi system. Also, some of the bedrooms on the first floor have satellite TV. Three have portable air-conditioning units that can be moved wherever desired.
The kitchen opens up onto the garden and the outdoor dining area with BBQ, from this area you have easy access to the area below where the pool and the pool house are located.
During your stay, you may help yourself to fresh fruit and vegetables from the estate’s vegetable patch.

Sought out by wine lovers, Montepulciano is famous for its excellent “Nobile di Montepulciano” which is produced in a number of vineyards in the area around the old town. Penelope itself is part of an estate of approx. 35 hectares, 22 of which are planted with vines. You can visit the marvellous wine cellars in contemporary architectural style and sample the wines, as well as visit the Gallery devoted to contemporary art. The wine cellar is 300 metres away and open for you to visit. A combination of architecture, art and good wine is what one would expect from a holiday in Italy.
