While Hale Ohana O Kekai is modern in design, most of the materials used in its construction are traditional. The use of earthy materials such as rich teak and stone marry the building with the landscape, lush flora and transcendent views. In this way, the house unifies its modern aspects with the natural surroundings.
The villa boasts a gracious open air living space with 3 dining areas, breakfast area, infinity pool, large entertainment room, 5 bedrooms and 2 full additional bathrooms. The terrace and pool area provide an additional lounge area and outdoor bale (covered seating). There is also a grass garden near the villa’s entrance and a whirlpool at the front, which appears to float over the rice terraces. The single-storey, open-air building inspires a natural ambiance while accentuating the breathtaking view.
