La Verdiana is immersed in the beautiful rolling hills of Tuscany, nestled in the Chianti region between Florence and Siena, about 45 minutes to each city. Owned by a powerful aristocratic family for hundreds of years, the villa has been restored by a Florentine family with great detail and care, keeping the original characteristics of a true Tuscan country villa but also adding many modern comforts such as air conditioning in the bedrooms, wireless Internet access, and TV room with plasma screen.
Upon entering the main villa, there is a comfortable living room with fireplace with a separate lounging room with plasma satellite TV. The bright, airy large dining room has access to the professional kitchen and large veranda for outdoor dining. On the ground floor, there are two bedrooms, each with beautiful views of the countryside and en suite bathrooms. Steps lead to the first floor where there are four beautifully decorated bedrooms with modern, en suite bathrooms.
The duplex cottage is just steps away from the main villa and only rented with the entire estate. On the ground floor, the entrance opens to a spacious foyer which leads to a living room with fireplace and eat-in kitchen with dining table. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms with en suite bathroom each and an additional guest bathroom.
Situated close to the gym, there is a separate suite offering one bedroom and one bathroom ideal for a couple.

Additional Information
La Verdiana’s sprawling estate is located less than 2 miles from this sought-after wine area of Greve in Chianti. Wine tastings and tours can be arranged for wine lovers. The villa’s outdoor loggia is ideal for large gatherings, including family reunions and special occasions.
Don't miss a visit to the town of Montespertoli, in the center of the Chianti region. "A terrace overlooking the world" is the most accurate definition of this lovely town, which boasts views from high above Florence and convenient proximity to other large tourist areas of Tuscany. Montespertoli considers itself one of the capitals of Tuscan wine, and each year from the last Sunday in May to the first Sunday in June, holds a Chianti Wine Festival and a Stamp Exhibition about wine and vines. The first weekend after November 6th is the time for a local festival for "Vino Novello." The medieval town of Montespertoli had an important role due to its road network, which permitted Florence to carry out commerce in the direction of Volterra and Siena. Worth a visit is the castle which flanks Montespertoli (it belonged to the Machiavellis) and the "Museum of Sacred Art" located in the ample and beautiful presbytery of the Pieve of San Piero in Mercato. The precious paintings, silverworks and hangings are testimony of the historical and artistic importance of the area.
