In a quiet area at the foot of Mont Ventoux lies Aubignan Bleu an authentic 17th century farmhouse in the midst of rows of vines, olives, swaying Cypress tree, kiwi groves and numerous fruit trees set on the hill side over looking the village steeple of Loriol. The property faces west and has the grand display of the Provencal sunset every evening. The rooms are all bright and colorful with elegantly flowered fabrics. the large living room that opens out to the outside dining area and beautifully tendered lawns, has a grand piano. The entire house is very French, very homely, not over sophisticated and certainly comfortable for children, not over run with hyper fragile object. Well positioned with access to the northern side of Provence and yet only a short half hour from the Luberon valley. Directly from Aubignan Bleu you can have wonderful trips by foot or by bicycle (5 bicycles are available)

The property is located at a central point which enables you to see the sights in Provence. Avignon 30 min., Gordes (Luberon) 30 minutes, Isle-sur-la-Sorgue 20 minutes, Grignan (Drôme Provencal) 45 min., Marseille 1 hour. The best Côtes du Rhônes wines comes from the famous villages in the neighborhood Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Beaume de Venise 10 minutes away, and the village of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape 20 minutes away. Famous places like Orange with its Roman Theatre and its music festival, Vaison-La-Romaine, Arles and St. Rémy-de-Provence with their Roman Arenas, Avignon with its pope palace and its theatre festival, Lacoste and Aix-en-Provence with their music festivals are less than 1 hour from Aubignan.

Every Friday there is one of the largest and most well-known Provence markets in Carpentras comprising also the second truffles market in Provence. There is also a wonderful marché aux puces in Carpentras every Sunday.

The house is 350 square meters on one unfenced hectare of land, it has 2 halls, a summer saloon and library where you will meet a 17th century atmosphere The grand piano player is often used by guests for spontaneous concerts. There is also a TV (not Satellite), VCR, DVD Player, CD Player.

The fully equipped kitchen has an oven, microwave, blender, toaster, dishwasher, juicer (this is a very authentic home French kitchen with many pots of jam from the various fruits trees growing on the property), laundry with dryer and washing machine.

The 5 bedrooms with their own bathroom with shower, toilets, hairdryer and ceiling fan provide all modern conveniences. 2 of the bedrooms have queen size beds , while the other 3 bedrooms have 2 twin beds each (that can be separated or made into a king size bed)

It is such a delight to sit in the magic Mediterranean garden, and enjoy the calm of a wonderful countryside and relax beside the swimming pool. (10 meters x 5 meters)

A couple live very discreetly on the premises. The wife can do extra housekeeping and personal laundry. The husband can do the shopping and cooks the meals. The cooking is biological with fresh vegetables from the garden, simple and delicious dishes accompanied by local wines.
