El Munt is an old house surrounded by nature that can be found about 2 kilometers from the village of Castellterçol and about 40 kilometers from Barcelona.
For different reasons of its origins and history, it is a farm house characterized by very extensive dimensions, occupying a total of 700 m2. Divided in three different floors totally restored, still conserves the traditional structure of the typical Catalan country house.
The ground floor has kitchen/dining room with fireplace, lounge and dining room. There is also a big indoor swimming pool perfect for winter swimming. The first floor has a big lounge with fireplace, TV, DVD and Stereo; four double bedrooms, each one with its own bathroom, and a suite with fireplace, TV and bathroom with hydro massage.
The second floor also offers a big lounge with fireplace, four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The outsides of the house are very extensive and very diverse in order to make use of them during all year. At the south side, there is a large area with a terrace that is very sunny, ideal for winters.
At the north east side is an annex with sofas and nice views to the Pyrenees and a big swimming pool, perfect for summers. Next to it is a covered barbeque. The outside also offers ping-pong, basketball, football and play area with swings.
El Munt is an old rural retreat just outside Castellterçol and within easy reach of Barcelona (40 km). South facing but with fine views of the Pyrenees, the house, completely surrounded by nature and peace, is situated in a vast forest of oak and pines. Close to the house can be found the Hermitage of Sant Julià d’Úixols and the Caves of Toll.
