Villa di Corsano, an 18th century villa, rises within a secluded parkland in the hills of Tuscany.

The theme of the outdoors continues in the elegant drawing room, formerly a ballroom, whose vaulted ceiling and walls are covered with 'trompe l'oeuil' paintings of exotic birds, flowers, and plants. The furniture ranges from 18th century antique to contemporary, and the wood-panelled walls add to the ambience of sitting in a botanical garden. Two large French doors open into the parkland, an open space to sit and relax under the Tuscan sun.



The villa is set on 3 floors. Apart from the drawing room, the ground floor also comprises a junior suite for 2 people with large windows overlooking the park and a terracotta arch housing a library. On this same level is a majestic dining hall, boasting what is said to be the largest sit-in fireplace in Tuscany. The dining tables seat up to 20 people, and the impression is one of dining in a large medieval banquet hall. Other special features of this dining hall are a 16th century Siennese marble sink, original antique tiled floors and antique furniture. Beyond the dining hall is a kitchen with modern equipment and professional cooking facilities, sufficient for 20 people or more. A beautiful internal courtyard is accessed from outside the dining hall. This courtyard has its own well and a covered area or loggia, and can be used for outdoor dining in fine weather.



A gallery of paintings leads to an old stairway going up to the first floor. There are 5 bedrooms located on this floor, all characterized by tall windows, high ceilings and plenty of light. With views of Siena in the distance, all the bedrooms have unique features. The first one is famous for its frescoes representing the "Cantico delle Creature" di San Francesco, painted by Dario Neri. Further along the gallery, the master bedroom boasts a magnificent Murano glass chandelier, frescoes of angels on the ceiling and a magnificent 17th century Siennese painting.
