Al Mennucci was originally an old hayloft that has been converted into a delightful cottage. It is on a superb location surrounded by olive groves and pine trees, high on the hills, 15 kms to the southeast of Lucca in Pieve di Compito.
The interior of this house is equipped with all modern facilities. The swimming pool is perfectly situated on one side of the house to enjoy the beautiful views. Close to the pool area are the stone-built barbecue and pizza oven, an outdoor shower and an alfresco dining area. There is also a small guesthouse with a double bedroom and bathroom 20 meters from the house, near the driveway.
The secluded location with its own private road ensures peace and tranquility for the guests of Al Mennucci. This road lasts for 1 km and it is unsealed, therefore not suitable for low sports cars.

- Swimming pools are not enclosed with fences and there are no lifeguards. Clients’ use of the swimming pool is at their own risk
- Please note that heating in Italy, when not subject to restrictions by the local Government, is more expensive compared to other countries
- Water shortages do occur; please use it sparingly during the summer months
- Italy is probably one of the few countries in the world where the government has introduced a system of electricity limitators to contain the national consumption. This means you must be careful when using more than one appliance at once because the limitator will shut the electricity off
